Description
Deutsch: Der ÖPNV wird hauptsächlich von den beiden Unternehmen Carris (Companhia dos Carris de Ferro de Lisboa) und der Metropolitano de Lisboa übernommen. Die Carris bedient über 100 Buslinien und mehrere Straßenbahnen. Der Verkehr wird teilweise mit historischen Wagen (pt. Eléctricos) durchgeführt, etwa auf der Linie 28. Zudem betreibt sie in der Stadt vier Elevadores (dt. Aufzüge), drei davon sind Standseilbahnen und einer ist ein senkrecht fahrender Aufzug, der Elevador de Santa Justa. Die drei Standseilbahnen wurden gegen Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts gebaut, als in Lissabon damit begonnen wurde, die seit 1873 verkehrende Pferdestraßenbahn ab 1890 durch Kabelstraßenbahnen und später durch elektrische Straßenbahnen zu ersetzen. Die Metro Lissabon umfasst vier Linien, die teilweise über das Stadtgebiet hinaus führen. Das inzwischen 38 Kilometer lange U-Bahn-Netz wird kontinuierlich ausgebaut.
