Notes
  • Significance: The Back Lane Guard Hut was built by the Secret Service after the spring of 1955, and was the last of 3 small wooden frame huts constructed as road check points in the farm's security system. It was the primary contact point for visiting officials or service agencies. The hut was used from 1955-1961 when the Secret Service guards were removed due to the retirement of President Eisenhower. Agents were reassigned to the site in 1965 and the hut was again used as a guard post. The Nevins Lane Guard Hut was constructed in the early spring of 1955 and was used as a secondary guard station to restrict access to the main Eisenhower residence at Farm One...
