Description At the beginning of the Holy Year of Mercy, a Holy Gate was opened at the Einsiedeln abbey. It is a plain construction of three milled sandstone blocks. Such a year take place in the Catholic Church traditionally every 25 years and lasts currently from 8 December 2015 until 20 November 2016. The Einsiedeln abbey is a Benedictine monastery. Switzerland, Dec 8, 2015.
