[EN] The Ehrhardt 7.5 cm Model 1904 mountain guns were originally issued to the Schutztruppe in German South-West Africa.The gun was also issued to the Portuguese colonial forces in Angola.

12 guns are known to have been produced and all 12 still survive in various museums and open air displays around the world.


[GER] Die 7,5-cm-Gebirgskanone L/17 M.08 war ein Gebirgsgeschütz des kaiserlichen Heeres, das im deutschen Kolonialgebiet Deutsch-Südwestafrika im Ersten Weltkrieg eingesetzt wurde.

Die ab 1904 bei Rheinmetall in Düsseldorf entwickelte Gebirgskanone erhielt werksintern zu Ehren des Werksgründers und Entwicklers Heinrich Ehrhardt die Bezeichnung 7,5-cm-Ehrhardt Modell 04 Gebirgskanone. Insgesamt 14 Stück wurden an das kaiserliche Heer ausgeliefert, während eine für Tests beim Hersteller verblieb.

Zwölf 7,5-cm-Gebirgskanonen L/17 M.08, so die militärische Bezeichnung, wurden der deutschen Schutztruppe in Deutsch-Südwestafrika unterstellt.
