Description
Deutsch: Neben dem Unteren Schloss und der Stadtkirche ergänzen das ehemalige Lyzeum und das Gymnasium, heute Sitz der Lessing-Regelschule, das innerstädtische klassizistische Ensemble. Das Gymnasium wurde im Jahr 1874 erbaut und als solches ein Jahr später eingeweiht. Nach umfangreicher Rekonstruktion erhielt 1993 die Stadt- und Kreisbibliothek Greiz im Lyzeum ihr neues Domizil.
English: The former lyceum (currently the city and country library) and the gymnasium (the college preparatory high school) next to the Lower Palace and the City Church, complete the classical ensemble of the downtown area. The gymnasium, constructed in 1874, was dedicated the following year. The lyceum, after extensive reconstruction, became the headquarters for the library in 1993.
