Description
Deutsch: Der ehemalige Steinbruch am Kalenberg ist ein Geotop im LSG-H 30 "Süddeister" (Gemeinde Springe). Der Steinbruch ist sehr klein, die LBEG Niedersachsen gibt 20 m2 an. Stratigraphisch gesehen gehören die Gesteine des Steinbruchs in die Juraformation Obermalm 6, das hier vorkommende Gestein ist Serpulit, auch Thüster Kalkstein genannt.
