Summary
[edit]DescriptionEgg Harbor Banner.jpg |
English: Neutral Water Health Resort Sanitarium On the NRHP since March 20, 1991. Near the Jct. of Claudius St. and London Ave., Egg Harbor City, New Jersey. Part of the Sanitarium has been torn down. At the above corner is a serpentine ditch, where supposedly the bathers bathed. Next door to that is the Municipal Building/Police Department, which, a policeman told me replaced the main sanitarium building. This building is run by the local historic society and is across London Ave. from the ditch and the Police Department.
The museum's website confirms that this is the only building still standing from the sanitarium. The field with the serpentine ditch, which was the center of the treatment, is now named "Peace Pilgrim Park" in honor of the locally born en:Peace Pilgrim
