Français : L'un des effets de la pollution lumineuse sur les arbres est qu'à proximité des lampes, dans la zone d'éclairage intense, les feuilles mortes ne tombent pas (sauf en cas de tempête).
Ce phénomène et ici bien visible chez des marronniers dans un parc public de Lille (Parc Jean-baptiste Lebas) le 20 décembre 2016. Les conséquences écologiques (et pour la santé de l'arbre) de ce retard sont encore en 2016 mal évaluées. La lumière perturbe l'environnement nocturne (par ex : en hiver, des merles chantent parfois presque toute la nuit dans les zones éclairées ou à leurs abords). English: One of the effects of light pollution on trees is that near the lamps, in the zone of intense lighting, the dead leaves do not fall (except if ther is strong wind). This phenomenon is here clearly visible in chestnut trees (Common Horse Chestnut) in a Public park in Lille (Parc Jean-baptiste Lebas) on December 20, 2016. The ecological (and tree health ) consequences of this delay are still poorly evaluated (in 2016). The light disturbs the night environment (eg in winter, some blackbirds sing almmost all the night in or around the illuminated areas). |
