Eesti kujutatu: Metropoliit Aleksander (1872-1953) teine nimekuju

kodanikunimi Aleksander Paulus metropoliit haridustee Uue-Vändra vallakool, Vändra õigeusu kihelkonnakool. 1884–1894 Riia Vaimulikus Koolis ja Seminaris töö ja tegevus köster-kooliõpetaja Leesil (1894–1897), Kolga-Jaanis (1897–1900), Viljandis (1900–1901). 1901. aastal pühitseti diakoniks ning 29. augustil preestriks Hiiu-Kõrgessaare Kristuse Sündimise koguduse juures. 1903. aastal asus preestriks Karksi-Nuia püha Aleksei kogudusse. Aastatel 1908–1916 teenis preestrina Laiuse Jumalaema Sündimise koguduses ning peale seda Pärnu Issandamuutmise koguduses. 1920. aastal valiti Paulus Tallinna ja kogu Eesti peapiiskopiks ja Eesti Apostlik-Õigeusu Kiriku eestseisjaks. muud eluloolised andmed Sündis Pärnumaal Vändra kihelkonnas Uue-Vändra vallas Orikülas Hauamäe talus talupidaja pojana 1944. aastal emigreerus metropoliit Aleksander Saksamaale ja sealt 1947. aastal Rootsi, jätkates EAÕK juhtimist paguluses. Maetud metallkirstus (arvestades tulevast ümbermatmist Eestisse) Stockholmi Metsakalmistule. muud eluloolised andmed 1929–1931 - IV Riigikogu liige 1937 - Rahvuskogu II koja liige I Riiginõukogu liige Apostlik-Õigeusu Kiriku esindajana.
