Centsprent met een litho, bestaande uit 4 x 2 omkaderde afbeeldingen. Een ontdekkingsreiziger gaat met zijn hond op verkenning uit. Beiden vallen in slaap en een enorme slang slokt de slapende hond op. De reiziger wordt wakker en ziet de riem van de hond nog uit de bek van de slang steken. Hij sleurt de slang naar zijn kamp, en ontdekt dan dat de slang een krokodil is geworden: de poten van de hond steken door diens vel. Bevat tweeregelige onderschriften in Nederlands en Frans.
