Edwin B. Lord. Edwin B. Lord, 74, of 64 Livingston avenue, Arlington, New Jersey, managing secretary of the Massillon chamber of commerce for six years, died Wednesday at his residence after an illness of eight months. At the time of his death Mr. Lord was executive vice president of the Jersey City, New Jersey chamber of commerce. He went to Jersey City from Massillon in 1922. During the six years he was in this city Mr. Lord was active In practically all civic affairs. He organized the Rotary club and served as its secretary until he went to Jersey City. He also assisted in the organization of the Massillon Boy Scout council, Y.M.C.A., Woman's club and several other organizations. The Massillon chapter of the American Red Cross was organized during the period he spent in this city and'he served as its secretary for several years. He headed war relief, Liberty Loan, Red Cross, Y.M.C.A. and other campaigns and was active otherwise in civic affairs here during the hectic days of the World War. He was a newspaperman before coming to Massillon. His widow, Mrs. Mabel S. Lord; five daughters, Miss Thelma Lord and Mrs. Virginia Taylor, of Arlington, Mrs. Irma Gunderman, of Wauwatosa, Wissonsin, Mrs. Doris Ross, of Long Island, New York, and Mrs. Rosa Farrell, of Canton; a son, Veryl Lord, of Genoa; and 10 grandchildren survive. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:30 at Arlington after which the body will be brought to this city. It will arrive here Saturday morning and will be taken to the Gordon-Shaidnagle-Hollinge funeral home where services will be held Saturday at 4 p. m. The Rev. C. F. Hammen, pastor of St. John's Evangelical church, will officiate. Interment will be made in the Massillon cemetery.
