Edward I Penny
Description
English: An incomplete silver penny of Edward I. The remains are from the right hand side of a ripped long-cross penny. The penny is well worn in places.

The following letters can be made out on the obverse -DW R A- which only matches EDW R ANGL DNS HYB making this class 1d to 9c. The trifoliate crown has a broad, flat band sugesting class 1d. There is an indistint line across the tail of the R which might be a long punction mark, as seen on class 1d. The left hand ornament is a spearhead. The drapery, face and left hand are indistinct through wear.

The rear legend is LON DO- making the mint London.
