English: 1853 Edo map around current Aoyama street, from Miyamasusakaue 宮益坂上 on the left, to Aoyama-2-chome 青山二丁目 on the right. The north is 38 degrees to the above right (See orientation symbol in the red circle.)
Regarding to credit in the old map 切絵図 it was published from Kinrindo 金隣堂 in Owariya 尾張屋 (1849-1870) runned by Kiyoshichi 清七. Regarding to the owner stamps, it was owned by Shinsuke Negishi 根岸信輔 or his other name 根岸友山 (1810-1890)or his son Takeka 根岸武香 (1839-1902), and donated to the Imperial Library 帝国図書館 (1897-1949) in 27th June, 1934 supposedly from their bereaved family. |
