Description
English: A fine website has, translated: Keresteci Sait Efendi Fountain. It is located right next to the historical Taşhan building in Çeşme, Edirne Çavuşbey District. The inscription written in Turkish on the mirror stone of the fountain reads: “It was built by Sheikh Cumalı Hacı Mustafa Efendi in 1932 for the souls of his father Hacı Mustafa Efendi, his mother Habibe Hanım and his sister Fatma Hanım. “ The fountain is an elegant tank fountain with a marble console guard and a triangular inscription pediment on two spolia columns. The crescent and star on the fountain mirror stone bear the symbol of the time it was built. The trough gives the impression that it was made of marble later.
