Harry Russell Wins Air Tour. Young Eddie Schneider Shoots Ahead to Place Third. (By United Press) Detroit, Michigan. Harry Russell pilot for the Ford Motor Co. has won the Ford Reliability Air Tour a second consecutive year. To Russell will go the Edsel B. Ford trophy. He is the first to win the trophy twice, second place went to J. H. Smart, Dearborn, another Ford Co. pilot. While the figures are yet to be checked officials said there was no doubt Russell was the winner. Eddie Schneider New York 19-year-old former holder of the junior trans-continental record put up a great fight to take third place and win for the second consecutive time the Great Lakes trophy for the light plane class. After a forced landing in Kentucky young Schneider started out in last place and gradually overhauled and passed such fliers as Eddie Stinson, Lee Gehlbach and Jack Storey. Saturday on the flight from Kalamazoo to Akron and Detroit. Schneider swept past Lowell R. Bayles of Springfield, Massachusetts to finish third topped only by a big Ford planes. Bayles placed fourth with Jack Storey of Kansas City fifth. There were six other contestants and nine official planes to finish the 5,000-mile trip
