| Description |
When the house of writer Gavin Maxwell which was called Camusfearna, on the West coast of Scotland, burned down the Otter Edal was killed. Nearby she was buried and this memorial erected. It reads: "EDAL THE OTTER OF RING OF BRIGHT WATER 1958-1968. Whatever joy she gave to you, give back to nature. GAVIN MAXWELL." He also died, a year later, and his ashes are buried close by. |
