Deutsch: Der Eckerstausee liegt im Nationalpark Harz, hier Sachsen-Anhalt, und im FFH-Gebiet Hochharz (4229-301). Der fotografierte Ort ist gleichzeitig ein besonderer Punkt im Geopark Harz – Braunschweiger Land – Ostfalen: Landmarke 4 (Brocken), Geopunkt 6. Im Bereich des Eckerstausees treten stark veränderte Ablagerungsgesteine des frühen Erdaltertums zutage. Weil sie in der Erdkruste versunken waren, entstanden aus ihnen aufgrund hoher Temperaturen und starken Druckes Paragneise, die bei der Gebirgsbildung des Harzes emporgehoben wurden. Auf dem Foto sieht man die anstehenden Gneise vor und hinter der Bank. |
