Self-Taught, plays bass guitar and guitar since he was 12 years, his first teacher was Antonio María Peñalosa (Te olvidé, Adiós fulana, etc.).

Founder of Orchestras like “Los Unos de Colombia” and “Bambú”(prominent band in the first edition of Salsa al Parque). With the latter he recorded two Long plays: Todo me gusta de ti and Con Sabor Bambú.

Arranger and musical director of Joseíto Martínez (Sobre las olas, Fuma el barco, bomboncito, Alicia la flaca, etc.), winners of the Congo de Oro in the Barranquilla Carnival 1989 (with the song El último beso).

Co-directed satellite bands during Colombian tours of international artists like Richie Ray, Larry Harlow, Olga Guillot, Gabino Pampini, etc..

He was for several years the spoiled bass player of Joe Madrid, a legend and pioneer of Latin Jazz in South America.

In 2017 was honored by the Music direction of IDARTES, for his contribution to the popular music in Bogotá during the time frame of the project: Relatos Mayores.
