English: Ebbing and Flowing Well Much has been written about this well http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/YKS/WRY/Giggleswick/GiggleswickHistory.html that was once much frequented by Victorian tourists on the turnpike road leading out of Settle. Now it is dangerously situated on the main road next to the Settle golf course. A path leading to a recently excavated Lime Kiln is just visible through the woods (just above the amazed tourist gazing at the well). |
