Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Eastgate Hotel. In c1750 young baronet Sir Cecil Wray built a brick and stone house in Eastgate, he didn't live there long and moved to his new pile at Fillingham in 1760. Lincoln industrialist Alfred Shuttleworth acquired the house in the late 19th century and he enlarged and altered the house until his death in 1925. This part of a service wing is all that remains, now part of the Lincoln Hotel.
