Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Eastern and Midland Railway canopy supports. These stanchions (canopy supports) are in the yard west of Weybourne, this is half of the lot gathered from Yarmouth Breach M&GN station when it was demolished. The others are in the yard east of Weybourne. The supports are destined to be sandblasted, repaired and restored for eventual erection at Sheringham on platform two. The idea is to rebuild the station buildings and canopy (a planning application has been submitted) with toilets and retail space. Now the crossing has been completed this project is one of the major improvements on the cards also with footbridge restoration. EMR stands for Eastern and Midlands Railway, this is the company that built the Cromer Beach to Melton Constable line. For another view see here 1752064
