Howden Minster: the east front, c. 1320

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The east front of Howden Minster is the architectural climax of the choir reconstruction carried out around 1320. It was one of the most richly ornamented facades produced during the Decorated period. Despite the abandoning and collapse of the Minster choir, the facade remains relatively intact, though heavily weathered and missing its tracery, pinnacles, etc.
