Description
English: East and West 'tailbays' and pumping stations The 'tailbays' are at the end of the East and West bellmoth spillways. The pumping stations are linked to the East and West 'drawing-off' towers. The pumps handle up to 170 megalitres per day. Most of this water goes to the water treatment works at Bamford, and is destined for use in the East Midlands. Rivelin water treatment works also handles 50 megalitres each day, bound for Sheffield.
