Title
Early medieval strap end
Description
English: An incomplete copper alloy strap end dating to the early medieval period, c. AD 750-1000.

The front plate survives, with breaks at both terminals. The upper break is diagonal and the lower break is horizontal, both cut across the ring and dot designs with which the object is decorated. It is flattened in cross section and tongue shaped in plan, tapering to a narrow rectangular tongue. The otuer perimeter is decorated with a series of ring and dot designs, which merge into a single ring and dot line continuing to the break.

It is similar to YORYM-27D1A2 which is also an example of Thomas Class A Type 2.
