English: A MODERN IMITATION of a Late Saxon penny of Aethelstan produced by David Greenhalgh, aka Dave the Moneyer, aka Grunal Moneta. Note the characteristic use of his made-up moneyer's name Grunal on the reverse, and the date 95 for 1995. The coin's mass is unusually high for a coin of this type. cf penny of Aethelstan, North 686.
