Description
English: An early medieval silver sceat, Series E (Secondary type), c.720-40, probably minted in the Netherlands.

The obverse design belongs to Metcalf's variety C, although the obverse is different. Examples of the same obverse/reverse combination are listed in Metcalf and Op den Velde's sub-variety e (based on Variety C), especially numbers 1761-8.
