Title
Early medieval brooch
Description
English: Incomplete decorated strip of copper alloy, probably from a brooch. The strip is rectangular in plan and stepped in profile. One end is complete, rectangular and has slightly pinched corners. The face is decorated with an incised perimeter and two punched ring and dot motifs. There is a circular mark on the reverse of this section, possibly the remains of a stud or lug. The up-stepped section is rectangular, broken at one end and is decorated with five ring and dot motifs. This fragment may have come from an Ansate brooch.
