Title
Early Roman copper alloy Hod Hill brooch
Description
English: Incomplete copper alloy Hod Hill or Thistle brooch. Only a small portion of the lower bow and foot remain. The bow is slightly arched and decorated with vertical ribbing. There is a flat semi-circular panel below that is instepped from the bow. The foot is missing though on the reverse of the semi-circular panel there is a flaring raised panel containing the top of the catchplate. This panel is likely to have formed a flat triangular foot.
