Early Post Medieval: Domed button
Description
English: A complete cast copper alloy domed button of Early Post Medieval dating (AD 1550 to AD 1700).

The button consists of a concave (domed) head, with a circular section looped shank on the reverse. The shank is integrally cast. No decoration is present on the front of the button.

The button measures 13.31 mm in length, 17.75 mm wide and 16.08 mm thick. It weighs 3.0 g.

The button is a mid to dark green colour, with an even surface patina.
