Early Medieval to Medieval pin
Description
English: A near complete Early Medieval to Medieval cast copper-alloy pin dating AD 700-850. The head is sub-ovoid with a saltire at its centre. The remainder of the head is decorated with several parallel grooves angled upwards from the base. There is a ring-shaped collar dividing the head from the rest of the integral circular-sectioned shaft which survives intact except for the broken tip.

The pin measures 71mm long. The head is 8.36mm diameter. The entire object weighs 4.34 grams.
