Description
English: A silver early medieval penny or sceat, Series K type 32a dating to c. AD 720- 740. Obverse depicts a mantled diademed bust right, crescent ear, knotted wreath ties behind, cupping cross pommee before. Reverse depicts serpent in complete coil anticlockwise, with vestigial body and legs, extending tongue. Abramson 2006, page 62, k470.
