Early Medieval annular brooch fragment
Description
English: Early Medieval annular brooch fragment, cast copper alloy, c. 35mm in diameter hoop 7.1mm wide x 1.8mm thick, Wide facets run around the inner and outer edges of the ring giving it a flattened trapesoid section. Within these facets run two rings of close-set, 1.0mm diameter, annular stamps. Traces of iron staining at one point probably respresent the pin. Diameter c. 35mm, Width 7.1mm, Thickness 1.8mm, Mass 2.49g.
