Description |
English: Lead possible spindle whorl. Cast annular or tubular cylindrical object with a central moulded aperture of diameter [now] c.13mm. Shrinkage lines indicate this was cast in an open mould. Patinated, and indented by a distorting impact. If a whorl, this might be an example of Walton Rogers form B. Suggested date: possibly Early Medieval, 950-1100.
