Description |
English: Rectangular buckle frame with integral plate ('plate-buckle'), rectangular cut-out forms frame, plate with large central perforation for missing pin flanked by two smaller rivet-holes, one with copper alloy rivet the head of which is decorated with ring-and-dot, three deep grooves border attachment-end. Dimensions of 19 x 16 mm. 2 mm thick. Compare Marzinzik (2003) Typegroup II.17, closest to examples from Alfriston (Gr. 43) and Holywell Row (Gr. 11). Dates to the 6th century. |
