Description |
English: A cast copper alloy buckle of early-medieval date. The single loop D-shaped buckle measures 15.4mm by 19.9mm by 4mm and weighs 2.6g. It is of the two animals biting the bar type. Both frame and bar have circular cross-sections. An example with similarly stylised heads from Meols (2007, pp. 62 and 72, no. 312) dates from the 10th to 12th century AD. |
