Early Bronze Age flat axe (front and back views)
Description
English: A complete cast bronze flat axehead, dating to the Early Bronze Age between 2100 - 1500 BC (length: 94mm; width at butt: 34mm; width at blade tip: 63mm; thickness in the centre: 9mm; weight: ).

The axehead has a lenticular profile with a convex section/ thickness at the sides. The parallel sides are particularly straight, although they expand outwrds with a protruding blade tip to either side. Although most of the original cutting edge survives, the probable blade facets are not particularly noticeable. the artefact is in a worn but fair condition with a light green patina.
