Title
Early-medieval brooch: Anglo-Saxon small long brooch
Description
English: A cast copper alloy Anglo-Saxon small long brooch. The brooch has a rectangular head plate, an arched bow that is rounded in front and hollow behind. There are several horzontal linear mouldings both top and bottom of the bow, with multiple horizontal lines under the arch down the bow to the foot of the brooch. The foot has an expanded pelta-shaped terminal. On the reverse of the brooch are the remains of the hinge mechanism and the ctachplate, both of which are damaged. The pin is also missing.
