English: An incomplete copper alloy early medieval strap end (AD c.750-c.950), missing its zoomorphic terminal. It has a split for attachment at one end, with two rivet holes, one rivet is still in situ. The attachment edge is straight, the object tapers to a break, probable made in antiquity. One surface is decorated with an interlacing pattern, possibly zoomorphic and possibly representing to confronted birds. Based on the shape of teh attachment end and the decoration, the strap end appears to fall into Thomas Class A Type 1. The object is 25.1mm long to the break, 14.5mm wide at the attachment edge, 12.6mm at the break. It is 3.2mm thick. It weighs 3.6g
