Title
Early-medieval : Tweezers
Description
English: A pair of Early Medieval tweezers, made from a single strip of copper alloy. Both faces are decorated with small ring-and-dots along each edge (now eroded, so they look like crescents). Towards the ring there are chip-carved decorative bevels along the edges. The ‘jaws’ meet edge-on and then curved around; the arms are close towards the other end, where they open out into a ring.
