Title
Early-medieval : Tweezers
Description
English: Cast copper alloy tweezers complete in two fragments. The head of the tweezers are formed into a loop. The arms flare outwards considerably towards the terminals, and are sharply in-curved to form the jaws. There is a single incised line below the loop, but the surfaces are otherwise undecorated. The tweezers are broken at the loop; the break is fairly fresh. One arm is slightly bent. The metal surface has a bright mid green patina and is slightly worn. Tweezers of this type date to the Anglo Saxon period.
