Title
Early-medieval : Bucket
Description
English: A cast copper alloy suspension hook, probably for the suspension of a bucket or large bowl. The hook has a zoomorphic terminal in the form of a duck, goose or swan. No details of the birds head are evident. The hook then loops around to form a straight section. Then it tapers out to form a collar, with pointed lobes projecting out of the sides. This end of the object then terminates with a large circular loop, which has a flattened section. There is no decoration on the hook. The metal is a pitted and is a dark greyish-green colour.
