English: Early-Medieval penny of Egbert, King of Wessex, BMC type XX. It is c.20mm in diameter and weighs 1.24g. It has a die axis of 9 and is curved/ bent but with only slight wear. Mint: Winchester Date: c.828-c.839 Reference: North 590 but note transposition of I and N in SAXONIORVM
