English: A clipped Early-Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) silver penny of Aethelred II (978-1016), dating to the period 979-985. Hand of Providence (first hand) reverse type (North 1994: 158, ref: 767).

Obverse: [+EƉELRED REX ANGL], Diademed and draped bust left.

Reverse: [ ], Hand of Providence issuing from clouds, at side: A ω.

Diameter: 11.0mm. Weight: 0.46g. DA=12:6.
