Ear Scoop, as identified by finder. Cast rod with a square-section mid-shaft, and a round-section end terminating in a tiny scoop at one end, now bent; the other end is lost. Suggested date: Roman, 40-400.

Length (as found): 60.9mm, Width (central part): 3.4mm, Thickness (central part): 3.8mm, Weight: 5.29gms.
