English: Eaglehurst foreshore, Stanswood Bay Large rocks like those in the foreground are very rare on this stretch of coastline, which is mainly beaches of pebble and gravel (some of which comes from the erosion of the small gravel cliffs, which themselves were deposited when the Solent was a vast river). |
