eagle and anchor seal
Description
English: A Post Medieval lead-alloy cloth seal, dating to AD 1600 - 1750. Continental type. A two part seal, consisting of two discs linked by an integral rectangular strip of lead which is folded in half so the discs over-lie each other. One face depicts an eagle with its wings stretched out. The other an anchor with an 'S' in the centre of the stem.
