DEL RIO, Texas – U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the Eagle Pass Station arrested two previously deported men who illegally entered the U.S., in separate incidents. “Dangerous individuals continue to attempt to infiltrate the United States to engage in criminal activity,” said Del Rio Sector Chief Patrol Agent Felix Chavez. “The men and women of the U.S. Border Patrol are this country’s first line of defense against these threats.”. On Nov. 28, agents arrested Jose Abilio Carballo-Parada, a 49-year-old from El Salvador. Record checks showed that Carballo-Parada is a confirmed MS-13 gang member with multiple deportations and an extensive criminal history including a drug trafficking conviction. Carballo-Parada was most recently removed from the United States in June of this year. He faces a charge of 8 USC § 1326 – re-entry after deportation, which carries a maximum sentence of two-years in prison. Photo provided by: U.S. Customs and Border Protection |
