Summary
[edit]DescriptionEVA- Lanxmeer Greenhouse12 2009.jpg |
English: Greenhouse as house in E.V.A. Lanxmeer district (a "green distric" named Lanxmeer, built at Culemborg, The Netherlands), wich is a recent (1994-2009) district (semi-public eco-building) of approximately 250 ecological houses, several offices and a urban farm. The project is based on "Sustainable Implant" with a spatial combinaison of natural systems, technical approach of integrated waste (wastewater) / energy system and écological and social purposes, for an urban neighborhood.
The district is in an ecologically sensitive area (former drinking waterextraction and retention area). The conception of this district is based on permaculture, and organic design, a small biogas installation (able to treate black water and organic waste and garden & park waste), a combined Heat Power. Some houses are in closed greenhouse. A semi-public building (the ‘EVA Centre) should yet be made, based on the Living Machine concept. |
