ESS-BC8D62 Medieval thimble
Description
English: Incomplete and distorted Medieval (1350-1500AD) sheet copper alloy thimble / sewing ring. The survivng rectangular sheet is curved, with the outer surface being covered in rows of small punched indentations except for a small area on one edge. There are frayed breaks along one long and one short edge. It has a mid-green patina. It is 19.58mm tall, 17.08mm wide (in its current curved shape), 0.88mm thick and weighs 1.63 grams.
