ESS-4E97B2 medieval sword pommel
Description
English: Medieval cast copper alloy sword pommel with remains of the iron hilt. It is sub-oval in plan, more pointed towards the apex. The edges are angled, giving it a hexagonal cross section. There is a rectangular slot in the base of the pommel which contains the corroded remains of an iron hilt. The pommel has no visible decoration. It is 39.28mm long, 36.10mm wide, 21.90mm thick and weighs 80.06 grams.
